Canine Parrotheads
With this cold, rainy, and gloomy weather, I long to be somewhere warm, south, and sunny. If you prefer to be "knee deep in the water somewhere" like Jimmy Buffett and Zach Brown, then you will like reading the Canine Parrotheads' chapter in If I Can't Be At Your Feet. "Even though Happy and I have many differences, I love being her dad and constant partner in crime. Fortunately, we have learned to agree on some things, such as music that whisks us away to amazing tropical islands where we feel sand beneath our paws and are constantly on “island time.” No one does this better for us than Jimmy Buffett and The Coral Reefer Band!
We have been Jimmy Buffett fans ever since I can remember, and his music sets the atmosphere at our house. What is not to love about him and his island music? His tunes definitely help the summer parties get sizzlin’ and brighten the many, many gloomy days that Michigan has during the long winter months.
If you are not familiar with Jimmy Buffett, let me enlighten you. He is a very talented and creative singer/songwriter/musician/entrepreneur/author who takes you away to the Caribbean with his songs, restaurants, and books of margaritas, beaches, sailing, fishing, partying, and cheeseburgers. Many of his songs inspire you to follow your heart and go after your dreams no matter how big or small they are. Every time, Jimmy leaves you with a smile on your face, a song in your heart, a cheeseburger in your tummy, and a margarita or Landshark Lager in your hands."
